Membership & Application
Anyone who truthfully completes the application form and provides all required details. Applications are reviewed by ACET before approval.
No, membership is non-transferable.
You must keep your contact details up to date by informing ACET.
Membership Fees & Payments
The standard adult membership is £10 per month. Children under 18 are registered as Junior Affiliates free of charge.
Payments can be made securely online (Stripe, PayPal, bank transfer) or by cheque.
All payments are final unless required by law.
Donations
No, all donations are voluntary and non-refundable.
Yes, if you are a UK taxpayer and meet HMRC requirements.
Donations may be used for community centre projects, education programmes, and community support.
Benefits of Membership
Benefits may include funeral support, madrasa discounts, educational activities, career support, legal services, and voting rights in ACET decisions.
Children are registered as Junior Affiliates with free membership until 18.
Termination & Reinstatement
If you provide false information, harm ACET’s reputation, or fail to follow the Terms & Conditions.
Reinstatement is subject to trustee approval.
Privacy & Data Protection
We may collect name, DOB, gender, contact info, children’s info, payment and donation details, correspondence, and website technical data.
Membership/donation records: 6 years. Gift Aid declarations: 6 years after last donation. Children’s and medical info: only for the period of membership.
Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, banks), regulators (HMRC, Charity Commission), and trusted IT providers under confidentiality.
Access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to the ICO.
